The EGov site requires browser support for both cookies and javascript. If you are having trouble logging in or using the site, you may have one or both of these features disabled. The instructions below will show you how to enable these functions on your specific web browser.

Enabling Javascript


 To enable javascript on Internet Explorer 5.x or 6.x on Windows:

  1. Click Tools on the top menu of your browser.
  2. Click Internet Options.
  3. Click on the Security tab.
  4. Click on the Internet zone icon.
  5. Click the Custom Level button.
  6. Scroll down the Settings list to the Scripting item.
  7. Under the Active scripting item, choose Enable.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click OK.
To enable javascript on Internet Explorer 5.x on Macintosh
  1. Click Edit on the top menu of your browser.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Under the Web Browser option, select Web Control.
  4. Check the box labeled Enable JavaScript.
  5. Click OK.
To enable javascript on Netscape 6.x and 7.x
  1. Click Edit on the top menu of your browser.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Under Category, open Advanced.
  4. Select Cookies.
  5. Check the following items:

To enable javascript on Netscape 4.x
  1. Click Edit on the top menu of your browser.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Under Category, open Advanced.
  4. Check the following items:
  5. Click OK.

To enable javascript on AOL

  1. Open your browser. From the menu bar, select My AOL and choose Preferences.
  2. Click on the WWW icon. In the Internet Zone section, if any setting other than Custom is selected, JavaScript is already enabled already. If Custom is selected, you must make sure that JavaScript is enabled.
  3. Click on the Settings button.
  4. In the Security Settings section, scroll down to the Scripting section, and under Active scripting, select either Prompt (which will present you with a dialog box every time active scripting is encountered) or Enable (which will fully enable active scripting without user interaction).
  5. Click OK to close the Security Settings window, click Yes in the resulting warning box if changes were made, and then click OK to save all changes.
  6. Close the Internet Options window.

Enabling Cookies


To enable cookies in Internet Explorer 6 on Windows:

  1. Click Tools on the top menu of your browser.
  2. Click Internet Options.
  3. Click on the Privacy tab.
  4. Click on the Advanced tab.
  5. Check Override automatic cookie handling.
  6. Check under First-party Cookies "Accept".
  7. Check Always allow session cookies.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click OK.
To enable cookies in Internet Explorer 5.x on Windows:
  1. Click Tools on the top menu of your browser.
  2. Click Internet Options.
  3. Click on the Security tab.
  4. Click the Custom Level Button.
  5. Scroll down to the Cookies section.
  6. Make sure that Enable is selected for both Cookies entries.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Yes.
  9. Click Apply.
To enable cookies in Internet Explorer 5.x on Macintosh:
  1. Click Edit on the top menu of your browser.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Under the Receiving Files option, select Cookies.
  4. Next to When receiving cookies: select "Accept all cookies."
  5. Click OK.
To enable cookies in Netscape 6.x and 7.x:
  1. Click Edit on the top menu of your browser.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Under Category, open Privacy & Security.
  4. Select Cookies.
  5. Check the following items:

  2. Select Preferences.
